Media Library

Typemill provides a simple media library for images, video files, audio files, and general files.

Open the Library

As of now, you can open the media library only with the following block elements in the visual editor. In future versions, the media library can be accessed with a global button directly.

In the block elements above, you have two options:

• Upload a new image or file
• Open the media library

The media library will either list images or files, depending on the block element you are using.

Search and Filter

The media library provides several filter options to find media and files quickly:

• Search: Here you can search for file names. You should name your files wisely so you can find them quickly. A good idea is to prefix filenames; for example, all icons could get the prefix "icon_".
• Page: With the buttons "this page" and "all pages," you can switch between all media elements or just show the media elements that are used on the current page.
• Pagination: Below the filter, you will find pagination.

Use Media

For each media item, you have three different options:

• Use: If you want to use a media file for the current image, video, audio, or file block, just click on the preview.
• Details: To display details of the media file, click on the info icon on the bottom right side.
• Delete: To delete a media file, click on the trash icon on the bottom right side.
